Identify possible repurposing drugs for COVID-19 using clinical trials data.

  1. A big barrier to novel drugs being used in treatment is that they need to be proved safe as well as effective

  2. We propose repurposing existing drugs which are already known to be safe in humans.

  3. By taking data from online clinical trial databases and abstracts from preprint servers proposing drugs for COVID-19 we combine this with structural information from approved drugs from drugbank we propose structurally similar drugs which may work in similar ways

  4. Using drug-target information from STITCHdb we identify targets of drugs in existing trials, and look at other drugs targetting them as potential COVID-19 treatments

I'm not sure why the votes were having problems? I assume this won't be selected due to low numbers of votes, though we'd have a team of 6 with Woochang, Namshik, Mukunthan, Priya and Paul.

Interesting project. I tried to upvote it, but I don’t see how this can be done. Is the voting closed? How can I take part in this project?
