#HackfromHome - an anti-viral virtual hackathon.

We’re giving people a chance to respond with action, working together to improve the lives of everyone affect by the Coronavirus. Our goal is to band together to help communities, patients, and their families better using what we know best - technology.

If possible, these ideas should preserve the privacy of individuals through the use of Personal Data Accounts. For more information on Personal Data Accounts read this.

Bluetooth beacon app for Covid-19 health status check

  • An app that only uses blueooth to identify your health status. How cool is that. NO GPS NO FACIAL RECOGNITION

  • If a person is suspected or affected, the authority or simply doctor can mark their name and phone number on the admin panel and whenever the person want to checkin to a building or purchase something their status can be checked with a receiver app, whether they are normal, suspected or affected

  • Bluetooth uses UUID(Universally Unique Identifier) which is unique in all space and time, we can mark this number with the name securing the data while transfering.

  • Normal people can also ensure they are not near an affected/ suspected person while checkin to buildings, public places etc.

  • The HATDeX Platform can be effectively used for this purpose, The decentralised architecture helps in secure distribution of personal data using HAT microservers. After authentification with it's URL we can call the RESTful api

  • China used their facial recognition system and Russia is now using them, as a computer vision and deep learning practitioner I seriously doubt the cloud based AI engines, regarding their data privacy.

  • An MVP will be expecting from the hackathon
