We are two graduates from Oxford University, and we want to develop an intimate online platform which would allow groups of individuals to become acquainted with each other in an organic way that mimics interaction in real life.
The platform would allow users to engage in content together, which can span from movies to music to board games. We are currently in talks with board game companies, such as Catan Studios, to give us the opportunity to license their game on this platform for groups of individuals to play together digitally.
In addition to this, the platform would allow individuals to engage with public figures and celebrities in a constructive way that enables constructive two-way participation. The platform would provide an option for public figures/entertainers to sell tickets to music sessions, specialist ‘cabinet sessions’ and ‘masterclasses’, with the profits going towards charity or as part of the performer’s income. The purpose is multifaceted: Firstly, we would aim to help combat misinformation around the COVID-19 crisis by allowing people to engage with specialists in the field. In addition, we would like to target mental health and facilitate healthy socialising by curating “living-room like” experiences and giving people access to mental health experts. Finally, we wish to provide a legitimate platform for entertainers to profit from their artistry, rather than advertisement.
We have attached a business plan below and we want to make this platform for the sole purpose of helping people during the COVID-19 crisis. If any profit were to be made from the platform, it would be reinvested straight back into the company.
We need help to build this platform as quickly as possible. If anyone can help, we would be incredibly grateful!
